Each silk worked on linen, the first worked by "Hanna Maria Van / Dyne age 15 years / Poughkeepsie 1819, with alphabet and verse, (SS 10.25 x 9 in.; DOA 14 x 13 in.); the second with alphabet and maker's name "(?) Van Duyne / Born October the / 29th the year 1777." The bottom panel of the sampler is unworked. (SS 11.25 x 9 in.; DOA 15 x 12 in.).
