The pepperbox derringer resembles the 1859 Sharps yet is unmarked, serial # 2451 on butt strap, brass frame, walnut grips, 2.5 in. four-barrel cluster, .22 caliber, 5 in. overall length. Needs mechanical work, original surfaces throughout; the Remington is a Model 1865 Rolling Block pistol, .50 caliber rimfire, 7.25 in. round barrel with anchor stamp on top at breech, marked REMINGTONS, ILION N.Y. U.S.A. PAT. MAY 3 NOV 15th, 1864, APRIL 17th, 1866, walnut grips with carved owner's initials J. T. C., 13 in. overall length. Lightly rusted surfaces, needs mechanical attention, missing walnut barrel rest.
