In an attractive vellum glaze with hand-painted flowering branches surrounding shoulder, complete with original inner lid and pierced cover, incised "V" for Vellum glaze by the decorator, numbered "1321 - C," initialed by the artist, Timothy Edward Hurley (1896-1948), all three pieces with red museum loan number, the jar was on loan for an extended period.
