Mid-19th century, signed "Rouberdit / Bar a/Seine" on porcelain dial; brass time and strike movement numbered "4339," the dial casing supports a small windmill, to its left stands a peasant girl holding a grass whip, the whole mounted to a carved white alabaster base which rests upon a gilt wood plinth with beaded gesso decoration.

Moderate wear to the wooden plinth; minute edge chips to the alabaster.
