The front free endpaper is inscribed no later than the early 19th century with,"Valuable for its author its subject & as an American publication from an English copy of the period preceding the American Revolution."

Chips to boards with loss to much of the morocco at the corners; dampstains to pastedowns and endpapers; first of two front endpapers is disbound, else binding intact.
