Worked on linen in silk depicting Adam and Eve with the serpent and Tree of Knowledge; bottom panel with an image of a three-story brick home with walkway, flanked by trees with perched birds, and a variety of animals; upper cartouche with maker's name and date, "Mary Boothman work in / the 12 year of her age / 1801" flanked by hearts; with verse. Research shows that a Mary Boothman was born in 1798, Of, Manchester, Lancashire, England and later married Joseph Barrett August 9, 1819.
