Late 18th century, mahogany with oak secondary, an unusual form featuring a fold up candle tray of book-matched and cross-banded mahogany veneers. The screen frame has stop fluted stiles surmounted by carved finials and is set with (2) brass candle arms, a skirt with carved shell pendant, and raised pad feet, the screen is raised and lowered by a small brass handle affixed to the shaped crest rail.

Lacking original screen fabric; brass latches and candle holder possibly a later addition; some expected surface wear and abrasions.
