Mid 19th century, highly figured maple, maple, pine and poplar secondary woods, having a fall front with a divided interior supported by cyma curved scrolls over (3) graduated drawers, raised on conforming cyma feet.

Printed in pencil on the side of a document drawer " This Bureau-Secretary is thought to have been made by a local cabinet maker in Harrisville, Ohio, probably around 1850 to 1860. Unusual prospect construction: the apparently solid door rolls upward to reveal an interior of (2) small drawers over a valance.

Later tooled leather writing surface; several glass knobs with chips and (1) with a repair; veneer loss to base and front feet.
