Late 19th century, white pine with a dark red-brown tone, the eagle clutching a Union shield in its talons while a streamer painted "Live and Let Live" flows from its beak.

72.5 x 26.5 in.

Small chip on face of shield; a few subtle age cracks; brace behind left wing added in 1950s. Excellent surfaces.

Purchased in New Bedford, Massachusetts (late 19th c.). Has descended in the family to current consignor.
