Oil on canvas, signed at lower right "O'Cain," in the original wooden frame. Frank O'Cain, born in San Diego, studied at the Art Students League in NYC and now teaches at his alma mater. He also has a popular lecture series at the Met. This painting, one of his earlier works, is representative of his technique of building upon layers of glazes.
