Oil on canvas, retaining its original Painting of the Year exhibition label and another label indicating that it was purchased by the Mead Corporation in 1957, housed in the original frame. In 1957, Moreland was appointed chair of fine arts and art education at the University of Louisiana - Lafayette. A fine grouping of his paintings are found in the Mary Lee Eggart Collection at Ogden Museum of Southern Art at the University of New Orleans.
