Ink and graphite with whitening on card, inscribed at the lower left "Para Felix / (illegible) / Renau / (illegible) '46," inscribed on the verso of the backing board "Renau / Spanish Painter / Sketch for big mural in Cuernavaca. / 1945. MEX." In the 1940s and 1950s, Josep Renau and Jose Reyes Meza completed two murals at the Hotel Casino de la Selva in Cuernavaca. Both murals have now been restored and are exhibited at the Centro Cultural Muros opened in 2005, whose core collection is that of Jacques and Natasha Gelman.
