Oil on canvas, signed at lower right "G. L. Berg," housed in the original molded wood frame with painted gold liner, retaining two original gallery plaques - one reading "George L. Berg" and the other "Flattery Storm Cliff." A dramatic depiction of the pounding surf at Cape Flattery, the most northwestern point in the contiguous states. It was so named in 1778 by British Captain James Cook for the point of land that Òflattered us with the hopes of finding a harbor.Ó
