Flemish atelier, the verso of the panel bears a Charles Roberson & Co. of 99 Long Acre, London paper label; the second an oil on panel, signed at lower right "C. J. Staniland" and illegibly dated, the verso retaining a paper label with ink inscription "No 2 / Italian Painter / 15th Century." Both in matching period appropriate gilt frames with linen liners.
