Ca. early 20th c., all 5.5" x 4" mounted to 8.75" x 6.75" boards and framed to an overall (11" x 9"), these images are credited in the negative as "Copyright 1901 / by Pioneer Roll / Paper Co." and are also identified in like manner as follows: "Ter Her Ya Quip - or HorseBack / Commanche Chief"; "Ter-hr-ya-to-sop or 'White Horse' / Kiowa Chief"; "Ton-on-co or 'Kicking Bird' / principal chief of the Kiowas"; "Kiowa Princess"; "At-a-watz-na-ca-ma-ran-et or "The man who is not afraid"; "Hoof -be-beaf or 'Big Tree' / Kiowa Brave"; "Asa-to-yet or 'Grey Leggins / Commanche Chief."

A western North Carolina collection.

The one image examined out of frame has dried tape residue on mat, light stain on print. The overall appearance of the set is quite acceptable without any glaring problems.
