Figured mahogany veneers, with poplar secondary, the fall front finely inlaid with oval panels, opens to reveal a divided interior of inlaid drawers and pigeon holes and a writing surface inlaid with a later light wood panel, the three graduated drawers are highlighted with light and dark string inlay, the scalloped skirt decorated with a band of vertical light and dark inlay, raised on delicate French feet.
