Oil on masonite, signed and dated at upper left "Joesph / 57", titled on the verso "Still Life with Blue Vase," inscribed on the verso "Joseph Perrin / Atlanta Division / Univ. of Georgia / 24 Ivy Street S.E. / Atlanta, GA," retains paper exhibition label for the 153rd Annual Exhibition of American Oil Painting and Sculpture at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the Detroit Institute of Arts, collection label indicating 1957 purchase. Perrin was the head of the Georgia State College Art Department in the 1960s. In addition to the Mead Collection, his paintings are in the High Museum in Atlanta and the Coca Cola Collection.

From the Mead Corporation art collection which was begun in 1955 and actively acquiring works until the early 1980s.
