Dix" as Adjutant-General, one page with verso docketing, 9" x 15", Albany, New York, September 15, 1832, here William Benjamin, Jr. is named an Ensign in the 97th Infantry Regiment. The signatories both had distinguished political careers panning much of the 19th century, with Dix also serving as a Union major-general during the Civil War.
