Bob Timberlake, an internationally acclaimed realist painter, furniture maker, author, and philanthropist lives in Lexington, North Carolina. Primarily known for his watercolor paintings, his depiction of life in his Native North Carolina has endeared his work to an international audience.

Transcription: Sept. 2 1984 Southern Island Maine Dear Dick, Here I am at our lighthouse. ItÕs a clear afternoon with a light breeze blowing from the North. As I look toward the South West I can see Monhegan Island where Jamie is also a few white sails are on the horizon. I have been working on a watercolor here of the light for the past two days. A safe place to be on Labor Day Weekend!! Keep the baskets for us till I return. I plan to come down for the opening the 15th. My warmest wishes to you both, Andy
