Union Soldier's Illustrated War Date Letter

Incomplete, lacking final page, but appearing to be written by Private George A. Wilson, Co. "G," 17th Massachusetts Volunteers, 4pp., octavo, Baltimore, Maryland, March 11, 1862 to his mother, writing of the threats posed by the ironclad C.S.S. "Virginia," formerly the "Merrimac." Wilson also devotes one full page to various drawings titled "the war is almost over." Presented in a gold-tone frame with pages 2 and 3 displayed as photo copies so all pages may be viewed simultaneously.
