Private Collection of a Gentleman from North Carolina

This model was the last muzzle-loading rifle produced for the U. S. Army. It saw extensive service during the final campaigns of the Civil War.

Working action, much of the original finish is retained, yet previous light cleaning is evident; expected dings and scuffs to the stock; pitting to the nipple bolster; some light oxidation; very good condition overall; chipping and surface loss to the scabbard's leather; the brass tip has been polished.
