Circa 1855, percussion, .44 caliber, six-shot, 7.5 in. barrel, serial # 14514 on frame, barrel, strap and cylinder; made for the civilian market with silvered brass elements and no martial inspector's marks, walnut grips; barrel marked ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CITY; the cylinder engraved with the familiar Texas Ranger and Indian battle scene signed by W. L. Ormsby, the cylinder also reading MODEL U.S.M.R. / 14514 / COLT'S PATENT.

Good working action; 20% original finish; small scratch to the left side of the barrel; remnants of varnish on the grips; small repair to the left grip; cylinder scene intact and demonstrating only light wear.; overall very good condition.
