The first late Georgian, veneered with shell paterae to front and lid (4.75 x 4.5 x 5 in.) ( inlay and veneer loss; in fair condition); the second likely American, mahogany, line inlay edge treatment, brass handle, escutcheon, and ball feet, single lidded compartment, inside lid of box bears a yellowed paper with pencil inscription "For Lennie mother's brother made it and gave to her when she was married in 1816 she always kept her tea for company in it for tea was dearer then it is now she always thought so much of it. Mothers' "(5 x 8 x 5 in.).
