Leland Little Auctions is proud to offer a single-owner collection of graphic works by Rufino Tamayo (Lots 536-561) and Georges Braque (Lots 583-602), two of the most important artists of the 20th century who were instrumental in the formation of modern art. These large groupings of prints by both artists – totaling 46 works – are unprecedented in size, quality, and depth and have rarely been offered in this scale at auction.

Braque is recognized alongside Picasso as one of the creators of Cubism, and abstraction is a thread that runs throughout his oeuvre. This collection of prints is primarily focused around his lovely bird motif, where he represents the bird in its purest, most pared-down form.

Light scattered foxing to the first; faint mat burn.
