Early 19th century, mahogany with mixed wood and brass inlays, oak secondary, top with inlaid urn with flowers and insects, over two hinged drawers with flower and vine inlays, on three legs with star and elongated teardrop inlay.

One drawer retaining handwritten old paper label reading "This table was owned by Hon. James G. Blaine. Presented me by my friend John R. Sloane who died March 1910." Blaine (1830-1893) was Secretary of State as well as Speaker of the House of Representatives and a Republican representative of Maine.

Top reset, veneer patches and lifting, some lifting and loss to brass inlays, legs likely cut down.
