From the Collection of Mr. Bill Faison, Hillsborough, NC A four-term member of the North Carolina General Assembly and successful attorney, Faison has been a long time supporter of the arts of North Carolina.

After studying aerospace engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, Overend moved to Santa Barbara to begin his art studies. In 1980 he was awarded the coveted Ellen Battell Stoeckel Fellowship for study at Yale University at Norfolk Summer School of Art. He has lived and worked in the South Carolina Lowcountry since 1981.
