Trade Axe With Woven Grass Utility Belt

18th-19th century, the axe blade is marked with two E 's and affixed to a slightly curved haft (4.75 in. axe head alone) (chips to the bit; hairlines throughout the wood); the belt, late 19th-early 20th century, is tightly woven with a conforming basket, small powder horn, earlier iron buckle, a string of trade beads and integral loop attached (27.5 in. LOA) (the horn, woven elements and buckle have very old patinated surfaces and appear to have been together for many, many decades; the beads appear to have been added.
