Born in London, Doris Seidler and her husband relocated to New York in 1940. In New York, she studied with the painter and printmaker Stanley William Hayter in his fabled studio Atelier 17. Her works are included in the collections of the British Museum, the Smithsonian, and the US Library of Congress.
