Irish Literary Great George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950), Autograph Note Signed
Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Dated October 15, 1928, it reads, in full: "I am no use for this sort of acting any more than Rheinhardt, who of course diagnosed your case at once. It is a One Woman show; and unless the One Woman can do it all herself until she has inspired enough followers to take on the routine work, she is not able for the job. Mrs. Aimee Macpherson, Miss Katherine Lingley, and others (including a considerable number of simple imposters) have got away with it; but they did not ask me to help them. I am amused, but not interested. G.B.S." Presented in a two-sided frame.
