Two Antebellum Postal Covers, One a Ship's Cover with Texas Association

The first cover hosts a stamped SHIP designation with manuscript Paid 1.00 and a New Orleans CDS, from a James B. Robinson to Clerk of Circuit Court, Marengo County, Alabama, docketing states the envelope contains "Depositions of Holman from Texas - Friday 20th August 1839," another inscription on the verso elaborates. A rare mention of Texas while it was yet a republic (soiling, else very good condition); the second cover is composed of a folded wholesale grocer's circular from Norfolk, Virginia, October 24, 1860, having an integral address panel on the verso stamped and addressed to Rocky Mount, North Carolina (Very good condition).
