Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Chapman, S. H. Catalog of the Magnificent Collelction of the Gold Silver and Copper Coins of the United States Formed by the Late David S. Wilson, Esq. Pittsburgh (Philadelphia: Davis & Harvey, Auctioneers, March 13 & 14, 1907), quarto, original gilt title on white cloth, 1254 lots, the sale's highlights shown on ten excellent photographic plates with a special emphasis on early American gold coinage. The gold listings are actually annotated in pencil with their prices realized. This is verified by the presence of an eight-page invoice made to a Mr. Zug for over 160 lots totaling a cool $3,000. "Mr. Zug" was the "Late Charles Gordon Zug" whose coins were auctioned by Chapman on October 22, 1909.

Some light scuffs and soiling to the boards; internally fine.
