Ameti, Giacomo Filippo. Il Lazio con le sue piu Cospicue Strade Antiche e Moderne e' principali Casali, e Tenute di esso Descritto da Giacomo Filippo Ameti Romano... (Rome: Domenico de Rossi, 1693), the decorative title cartouche alive with allegorical figures, dedicated to Cardinal Pietro Ottobono. The map is laid to linen in sixteen sections, the verso with an applied label for the Victorian map seller James Wyld of Charing Cross, London; the map folds into a custom two-part leather case with a gilt spine.

33.25 x 44.75 in.

The map is in very good condition with light age toning; minor stains to the linen backing, which is quite solid; the case is worn with some chipping to extremities; the upper portion of the spine detached with significant losses.
