The map is laid to linen in sixteen sections, the verso with an applied label for the Victorian map seller James Wyld of Charing Cross, London; the map folds into a custom two-part leather case with a gilt spine.

The map is in very good condition with light age toning; minor stains to the linen backing, which is quite solid; the case is worn with some chipping to extremities; the upper portion of the spine detached with significant losses.
