The rectangular tablet form cabochon opal doublet (21.0 x 8.0mm) bezel set off center amidst dimensional bars arranged in an asymmetrical pattern and accented with three prong set round brilliant cut diamonds weighing approximately .13 carat (H-I color, VS2-SI1 clarity), with single pin stem and trombone clasp, with bail for pendant wear, marked 750 and with indecipherable maker's mark.

From the estate of the consignor's mother, who grew up a poor farm girl in the Kanton of Thurgau, Switzerland and later lived and worked very close to Zurich, becoming a noted designer "on the highest level assisting customers throughout Switzerland." Warmly remembered by her family, they share that she loved contemporary design paired with antiques, shopping for her jewelry in Zurich, and wearing Christa de Carouge's black dresses.
