The first a late 18th century nine spindle hoop back, shaped arm supports, shaped plank seat with scratch bead edge, on turned splayed legs with stretcher base (38 x 22 x 19 in.); and the second a late 18th century English Chippendale mahogany side chair, pierced back splat, slip seat, seat rail with gadrooned edge, on ball and claw feet (38 x 23 x 21 in.)
