Likely northern India, 19th century, both octavo. The first being bound with calf spine having a title plate; the second without boards. Possibly Islamic texts.
Tallest with 9.25 in. spine.
The books were stored in a modern chipboard box marked "Pawlwal," which is the the name of a district in northwestern India.
Both in fair condition marked by edge losses and damp stains.
