Miss Ogburn was born in Guilford County to Thomas Jefferson Ogburn and Nannie Davidson Ogburn. She was both a fine and commercial artist. She taught classes in the 1930s at the Greensboro Art Center and was hired as the first fulltime director for the Greenville Museum of Art founded in 1939.
