George Schwacha, Jr. was active in many professional organizations including the American Artists Professional League, Audubon Artists and Art Center of New Jersey, and the Philadelphia Water Color Club. His paintings have been shown throughout the country at museums such as the Pennsylvania Academy, the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, DC, the Birmingham Art Museum, and The Butler Art Institute in Youngstown, Ohio.
