This exhibition traveled to the North Carolina Museum of History, Raleigh, NC, September 10 - December 4, 2016.

Born in Harrisburg, PA, Ledford studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and at the Foreigners University in Perugia, Italy. She moved to Texas with her family in 1924, but was back in Pennsylvania in the early 1930s. She pursued a successful career as an interior designer and illustrator. By 1945 she was living in Asheville where she continued to paint and teach.
