A baluster vase having a high collar finished in matte black, slip decorated with a Masonic compass on one side and depicting an Egyptian potter kneeling at the wheel "EGYPT / B.C. 2000" above a turquoise crackle glazed body, the bottom stamped with the potter at the wheel dated 1930.
