Born in Wilmington, Ann Conner received a BFA in art from Salem College, Winston-Salem, NC; and MA and MFA in painting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She studied painting in Asolo, Italy with Salem-Hofstra University Summer Program. She is a professor of Studio Art at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

A photocopy of a letter by the artist to the consignor documenting the exhibition history of this work is included with the lot.
