19th century, the first an exotic hardwood document box, rectangular form with hinged lid and inlaid escutcheon, with red lined interior, (repair at corner, shrinkage cracks, chips at edge); the second an inlaid Rosewood tea caddy, the hinged lid and case with geometric line inlay in light and dark woods, the interior with two lidded compartments, each with inlaid lid (lids ill-fitting; some surface wear).
