Circa 1800, walnut, brown leather upholstery with brass nail head trim, the shaped crest rail with hinged end opens to reveal a divided interior, removable seat with recessed (likely original) delft porcelain liner with hand painted cobalt decoration, raised on cabriole legs, the underside of the lid signed "S. G. Devaux."
