Salt glazed stoneware jar, an unusual form with a raised inner rim, stamped between the handles "J.J. OWENS / PATENT / JAR".

Fair condition; inner and outer rim chips and nicks; lacking one handle the other handle with chip; other imperfections; hairline extending downwards from rim in two places.
