From Noah's Ark Book Attic, Tryon, NC

Dr. Folger, a resident of Stokes County, North Carolina, wrote this matter-of-fact health care guide for the general public at a time when most medical books were aimed at professionals. Serving with the U.S. Army as a physician in the late 1830s, the author accompanied Cherokees to relocation in what is now Oklahoma. This book is very rare and does not show up in auction records, current sales, or retail listings. The consignor notes that only three copies are to be found in library collections.

Toned paper; damp stains and foxing throughout; the paper remains supple and is stable.
