Licciardi was trained at the American Academy of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. In 1952 he opened a gallery on Rush Street in Chicago. He moved to Dubuque in 1961 and opened an art gallery on Main Street. In 1982, he moved to Charleston, SC.
