Over 70 pieces, 1810s-1920s, with the bulk of the material being mid-19th century, to include: fragmentary tax collector's appointment with a good signature of Governor William Aiken, Sr., circa 1815; a Civil War era manuscript note dated 1863 saying "...please to take care of my watch until I call for it...as life is uncertain..."; two newspapers: Independent Chronicle (Boston, June 29, 1807) and The Abbeville Banner (Abbeville, SC, May 19, 1859); numerous personal letters, some Civil War date; receipts; checks.
