To include: The Dramatic Works of William Shakespeare (Chiswick: Arthur Whittingham, 1830), gilt leather, small octavo (7.5 x 5 in.), the fore-edge depicts the Globe Theatre (name on fly blacked out; front cover and spine loose but still attached to back cover); The Poetical Works of William Wordsworth (London: Edward Moxon, 1845), tooled leather, quarto (9.5 x 6.5 in.), an inscription explains the fore-edge is painted with William Wordsworth aged 36 / Wordswoth and Scott at Newark Castle 1821 / Windermere Ferry with Belle Isle / The White Doe of Rhylstone - Bolton Priory (light wear to boards; foxing to title page, else very good); The Poetical Works of Walter Scott (London: Frederick Warne and Company, n.d., circa 1890), green morocco with gilt school crest on front cover, small octavo (7.75 x 6 in.), a plate on the front pastedown shows this book was awarded to R. Irving of the Polytechnic Day School in 1896, the fore-edge depicts Edinburgh Castle (light wear to boards).
