Manufactured by P.A. Fiebiger, circa 1930, six side chairs and two armchairs, pierced copper chair backs in fruit motifs, block finials, aluminum slat seats, on stretcher base.

Karl Bock served as president from 1948 to 1951 of the American Institute of Decorators, now the American Society of Interior Designers. Between the years of 1935 and 1958, Bock directed the additions and interior renovations of Pinecrest, home of Mary Duke Biddle. In the 1950s he worked with Mary Duke Biddle Trent on the renovations of her Durham home, Les Terrasses. Bock worked on additional projects at Duke University and the Duke mansion at 1009 Fifth Avenue in New York.

Two chairs with separation at leaf to fruit; armchair with break at side attachment of copper decoration and missing rear left circular button foot; some surface patination; sold with seven later slip cushions.
