Probably North Carolina, early 19th century, poplar and yellow pine secondary, two-part form, the top cabinet with an applied stepped reeded cornice above a horizontal reeded frieze above two flushed paneled hinged cabinet doors, with shelved interior, flanked by reeded stiles, the desk with hinged slant lid with loper supports, interior with central hinged prospect door, six pigeon holes above eight small drawers, the case with four lipped graduated long drawers with three quarter dustboards, molded base with bracket feet.

Two lower back boards to desk replaced; right rear foot facing replaced; left rear lower two-inch foot facing replaced; drawer runners rebuilt; later pulls; cut and patch by escutcheon at lid; cut and patch at hinge area to lid.
