18th-19th century, to include: a wooden tea caddy with overall paint and brass furniture, accompanied by a manuscript note naming its owner as one John Denning and providing descent thereafter, further stating that "...John sailed from New Haven to Calcutta - Captain of a merchant ship - 1775 This is his tea chest." (5 1/8 in. square) (overall wear); five clay pipes (longest 11.25 in.); small powder horn (6.5 in.) (lacking stopper); embossed leather shot pouch with brass measure, (8 in.) (leather split at seams).
